Our Beliefs/Mission/Vision

Our Mission

To equip believers with the Word of God, empower Men to lead and strengthen their families in faith, and lead people into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through discipleship, prayer, serving, and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Our Vision

At Armor of God Bible Church, our vision is to build a Christ-centered church where people are transformed by the unapologetic truth of God’s Word, strengthened through authentic fellowship, and equipped to live victoriously through the Armor of God.

We desire to see:

  • Lives changed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ

  • Families strengthened through biblical teaching

  • Believers equipped to walk in spiritual maturity

  • A church united in prayer, worship, serving, and love

  • Men raised up to impact their families, workplaces, community and the world for Christ

Our heart is to help every person grow deeper in faith, stand firm against spiritual opposition, and walk boldly in the calling God has placed upon their life.

Core Values

Biblical Truth

We believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God. Scripture is the foundation for our teaching, decisions, and daily living. It is the final authority in determining all doctrinal truths. The Bible, in its original writing, is both inspired and inerrant.

Prayer

We believe prayer is essential to spiritual growth, guidance, healing, and intimacy with God.

Discipleship

We are committed to helping believers grow spiritually through biblical teaching, mentorship, and practical application of God’s Word.

Worship

We seek to glorify God through heartfelt worship that honors Jesus Christ and invites the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Family

We believe Men are commissioned to be the leaders of the family and they must be empowered to follow the Bible's teaching on their responsibilities. Doing so creates a foundation of Christian Men equipped to follow God's plan for Husbands, Fathers, and Leaders. We believe strong families build strong churches and communities. We are committed to encouraging marriages, parents, children, and future generations in faith.

Love & Community

We strive to create a welcoming church family where people experience the love, grace, and truth of Jesus Christ.

Evangelism & Outreach

We are called to share the Gospel and demonstrate the love of Christ within our local community and beyond.

Spiritual Growth

We encourage believers to put on the full Armor of God and live victorious, Spirit-led lives rooted in faith and obedience.

Statement of Faith and Beliefs

The Holy Bible

We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. It is the final authority for faith, doctrine, and Christian living.

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God…” 2 Timothy 3:16 (2 Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25-26).

God and the Trinity

We believe there is one true God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They are all co-equal and co-eternal (1 John 5:7; Genesis 1:26; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 9:6; Hebrews 3:7-11).

  • God the Father is Creator and Sustainer of all things.

  • Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man.

  • The Holy Spirit empowers, guides, comforts, and transforms believers.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, and will return again in power and glory. We believe that Jesus Christ is God the Son, the second person of the Trinity. Jesus Christ is 100% man and 100% God. He is the only man ever to have lived a sinless life (John 1:1-14, 20:28; 1 Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6; Philippians 2:5-6; 1 Timothy 2:5).

Salvation is found only through Jesus Christ.

“I am the way, the truth, and the life…” — John 14:6

Resurrection

We believe that Jesus Christ was physically resurrected from the dead in a glorified body on the third day after His death on the cross. One day all believers in Christ will also be physically resurrected in glorified bodies to their eternal reward in heaven with God (Luke 24:16, 36, 39; Philippians 1:21-23, 3:21; 1 Corinthians 15:42, 44; John 2:19-21, 20:26-28, 21:4; Acts 24:15).

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer, producing spiritual growth, conviction, wisdom, power, and guidance for Christian living.

The Holy Spirit equips believers with gifts for ministry and service. (John 14:26, Acts 1:8, John 16:8, 2 Thessalonians 2:13, Galatians 5:22-23, Ephesians 1:13-14, Romans 8:26, 1 Corinthians12:4, 7-11, 6:19)

The Church

The church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of Christ’s great commission. Every person who is born of the Spirit is an integral part of the church as a member of the body of believers(1 Corinthians 12:12–27, Ephesians 1:22–23, Romans 12:4–5, Colossians 1:18, 24, Ephesians 4:11–16)

Salvation

We believe salvation is a gift of God received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone — not by works. We are saved by grace (which is undeserved and unearned) through faith in Jesus Christ, His death, burial, and resurrection. Salvation is a gift from God, not a result of our good works or of any human efforts (Ephesians 2:8-9; Galatians 2:16; 3:8; Titus 3:5; Romans10:9-10; Acts 16:31; Hebrews 9:22).

Through salvation:

  • sins are forgiven,

  • hearts are transformed,

  • and believers receive eternal life.

Christ's Blood

Because Jesus Christ lived a sinless life, His blood shed on the cross of Calvary is 100% sufficient to cleanse us of all sins when appropriated individually through repentance and faith. Jesus allowed Himself to be punished for the sins we have committed, enabling all who believe to be freed from the penalty of sin (which is death) (1 John 1:7; Revelation 1:5, 5:9; Colossians 1:20; Romans 3:10-12, 23, 5:9; John 1:29).

Repentance

Repentance is a commitment to turn away from sin in every area of our lives and to follow Christ. Through repentance we receive forgiveness of our sins and appropriated salvation (Acts 2:38, 3:19).

Christ Indwells Believers

A Christian is a person who has invited the Lord Jesus Christ to come and live inside him by the Holy Spirit. He is putting his trust in what Christ accomplished for him when He died, was buried, and rose again from the dead (John 1:12, 14:17, 23, 15:4; Romans 8:11; Revelation 3:20).

Water Baptism

After believing in the Lord Jesus Christ the new convert is commanded by the Word of God to be baptized in water in the name of the Lord (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38).

Baptism In The Holy Spirit

Initiated at Pentecost, Holy Spirit baptism is the promise of the Father, given by Jesus after His ascension, to empower the Church to preach the gospel throughout the whole earth. The speaking in tongues is a gift by the Holy Spirit to certain believers that brings enhancement in prayer life (Acts 2:1-4, 17, 38-39, 8:14-17, 10:38, 44-47, 11:15-17, 19:1-6; Mark 16:17; Joel 2:28-29; Matthew 3:11).

Communion

The Lord’s Supper is a unique time of communion in the presence of God when the elements of bread and wine (or grape juice), representing in some mysterious, spiritual way the body and blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, are taken by believers in remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross (1 Corinthians 10:16, 1 Corinthians 11:23-25; Mark 16:16; Acts 8:12, 36-38, 10:47; Matthew 26:26-29).

Sanctification

Sanctification is the ongoing process of being set apart for God, characterized by our yielding to God to complete the development of Christ’s character in us. The lifestyle of developing righteousness and holiness is the evidence to all men that Christ’s Spirit lives within us (1 Thessalonians 4:3, 5:23; 2 Corinthians 3:18, 6:14-18; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3; Romans 8:29, 12:1; Hebrews 2:11).

Health & Prosperity

We believe that, as a part of Christ’s work of salvation, it is the Father’s will for believers to become whole, healthy and successful in all areas of life: 1) Spiritual (John 3:3, 11; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21; Romans 10:9-10). 2) Mental and Emotional (2 Timothy 1:7; Romans 12:2; Isaiah 26:3). 3) Physical (Isaiah 53:4; Matthew 8:17; 1 Peter 2:24). 4) Financial (Joshua 1:8; 3 John 1:2; Malachi 3:10-11; Luke 6:38; 2 Corinthians 9:6-10; Deuteronomy 28:1-4; Psalm 34:10, 84:11; Philippians 4:19).

Healing

Healing of the sick is illustrated in the life and ministry of Jesus, and is included in the commission of Jesus to His disciples. Healing is a provision of Christ’s atonement on the cross, and is given as a sign which is to follow believers (Matthew 8:16-17; James 5:14-16; 3 John 2; Psalm 103:2-3; Isaiah 53:5; Mark 16:17-18).

Second Coming

Jesus Christ will physically and visibly return to earth for the second time to establish His Kingdom. This will occur at a time undisclosed by the Scriptures (Revelation 1:7; Matthew 24:30, 26:63-64; 1 Thessalonians 4:15, 17; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-8).

Spiritual Warfare

We believe believers are engaged in spiritual warfare and are called to put on the full Armor of God through prayer, faith, righteousness, truth, and the Word of God.

“Put on the whole armor of God…” — Ephesians 6:11-17

Heaven

Heaven is the eternal dwelling place for all who believe in Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 5:1; 1 Peter 1:4; Hebrews 11:16; John 17:24; Matthew 5:3, 12, 20, 6:20, 19:21, 25:34).

Hell

After living one life on earth, those who have rejected Christ will be judged justly by God and sent to Hell, where they will be eternally tormented together with the devil and the fallen angels (Hebrews 9:27; Matthew 25:41; Revelation 14:9-11, 20:12-15, 21:8; Mark 9:43-48).

Marriage & Sexuality

We affirm chastity for Christian single men and women, fidelity for Christian married men and women, and the sacredness of Christian marriage. We define marriage as a union between one born a man and one born a woman and that romantic and sexual contact between the same sex is sinful (Exodus 20:14, Leviticus 20:13, Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10).
